Celebration of Love Festival 2019

Today, there are thousands of children in the Bahamas who lack the tools and relationships they need to excel in life. That’s why every year, we gather our people and resources to celebrate love among the impoverished.

  • A team of healthcare practitioners to provide nutrition support
  • Financial advisors to support and counsel on money management
  • Educational counselors to provide information on higher education
  • Supplies and materials for empowered living

Your partnership can bring transformation to a community in need! We can’t accomplish our goals without your support. Contact us if you are interested in donating your time or a financial gift.

Yes.  Because of our long-term commitment and involvement within The Bahamas we have developed many close relationships with the locals. The community is familiar with Celebration of Love and we’ve worked hard to humbly earn their trust and respect. Because of these close friendships we are the first to know if something out of the ordinary comes up or is unsafe. Our Founder, Van Brown is a Bain Town native and very well known and respected throughout the community.

We are more than happy to talk in more detail about safety on this trip. Please feel free to contact our office for further conversation regarding trip safety.

Generally, all U.S. citizens are required to present a valid U.S. passport when traveling to The Bahamas, as well as proof of anticipated departure from The Bahamas.

To enter The Bahamas, citizens from other countries are also required to present a valid passport which must be current up to your travel period and some countries are also required to have a Bahamas visa. If you are unsure check with your local travel authority.

We suggest teens and above to attend this trip. Smaller children may become restless and the long days may be too much for them.

During the mission trip it is important that we make every effort to dress respectfully, modestly, and appropriately. We will be working hard serving in the community so it is best to wear old, comfortable, and modest clothes. COL will provide t-shirts for each day that we are serving in the community.

We will have several dinner events at the Resort which will require casual to business casual attire such as sundresses for the ladies and slacks and shirts for the men.

Please plan to arrive on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. We will arrange for ground transportation from the airport on Wednesday. We will begin working in the community on Thursday morning.

The trip officially concludes Sunday evening, however, we would love for you to stay to enjoy the island and go sightseeing with us on Monday.  We will provide ground transportation back to the airport on Monday or Tuesday, according to your flight arrangements. We are happy to accommodate your travel plans so please contact our office if you need special arrival or departure plans.
